Officials from the Ministries of Health responsible for Nutrition and Food Fortifcaton convene today in a capacity building workshop on Monitoring and Programme Impact Evaluation for Fortified and Nutritius Foods. This two day workshop is taking place in Kigali; Rwanda at the Lemigo Hotel. 

The East, Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC) in collaboration with Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and other partners are hosting this workshop with support from USAID. The project on Monitoring of Fortified AND Nutritious Foods is implemented in 13 countries (Burundi, Lesotho, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe).

This initiative is a follow-on to the online training which was implemented in September 2016. During the online training, the necessity to host a face-to-face training was recommended, thus this two (2) days training.
